The idea behind Dwyer + London came from Tim’s multidisciplinary studies and global experiences. The more he studied and worked around the world, the clearer it became that the days of siloed thinking and working were numbered for any system or organization that wanted to be impactful and sustainable. While the research backed it up, and many practitioners talked it up, an amazing amount of organizations remained hopelessly mired in the mindsets of the past. This held true across different situations and geographical boundaries, whether they were educational systems in Kazakhstan, Sweden, or Georgia (USA); CEOs in the UK’s charity sector; or corporates across Africa, Asia, and America.
Tim realized he needed to create something new if he wanted to help people and organizations be successful in an increasingly complex world. So, after years of study in different fields and a global career working with just about every type of person and organization, he formed Dwyer + London Consulting to help develop people and organizations that know they must constantly learn and change. Sometimes, these people/organizations need more knowledge or critical insights; other times it might be improving processes to match their ambitions; still others might need support in re-thinking what their ambitions should be in the first place. For all of them, there is a desire to adopt more forward-thinking mindsets and create more actively engaging, innovative, and boundary-spanning environments.
